Oggi,
25 ottobre 2014 il governo norvegese si appresta a deportare Gholam
Nabi, un richiedente asilo hazara proveniente dalla provincia di
Baghlan nel nord dell’Afghanistan. In questa provincia secondo
Human Rights Watch nel maggio del 2000 sono state massacrate decine
di persone da parte dei talebani solo perché appartenevano all’etnia
hazara. Quattro di queste persone uccise erano parenti di Gholam
Nabi. Nabi in questo momento si trova all’aeroporto di Gardermoen,
ad Oslo. La sua deportazione è prevista per le sei di questa sera.

Nabi
è arrivato in Norvegia nel febbraio del 2008 all’età di 17 anni.
Il suo unico desiderio era quello di avere una vita normale, lontana
dalla violenza e dalla morte. Appena arrivato ha inoltrato la
richiesta di protezione internazionale. Pochi mesi dopo, mentre stava
uscendo da un café nel centro di Oslo con alcuni suoi amici, è
stato investito da una macchina sulle strisce pedonali. La notizia è
stata pubblicata su molti giornali di Oslo e alcuni clienti del cafè
hanno persino fotografato l’accaduto.

Per
due giorni Nabi è rimasto in coma all’ospedale e quando si è
risvegliato i medici gli hanno detto che alcune vertebre della spina
dorsale si erano rotte e che se non avesse subito un’operazione
sarebbe rimasto paralizzato per sempre.

Mentre
si trovava in ospedale, Nabi ha ricevuto il diniego di protezione
internazionale da parte dell’UDI (the Norwegian Directorate of
Immigration). Secondo l’UDI infatti Nabi in Afghanistan non
correrebbe alcun pericolo. In seguito l’ospedale ha comunicato a
Nabi che non avrebbero potuto effettuare l’operazione in quanto il
governo norvegese non avrebbe sostenuto le spese ospedaliere per un
immigrato al quale era stata rifiutata la protezione internazionale.
Nabi si è quindi rivolto alla polizia per denunciare la persona che
lo aveva investito.

Alla
centrale però si è sentito rispondere che visto che la sua
richiesta di protezione era stata rifiutata non si sarebbero potuti
occupare della denuncia. L’unica possibilità, gli dissero i
poliziotti, era quella di tornare in Afghanistan, trovare un avvocato
e da lì sporgere denuncia. Ho conosciuto Gholam Nabi nel mese di
aprile durante un mio viaggio in Norvegia.

Quando
ho sentito la sua storia sono rimasto molto colpito ed amareggiato.
Ho fotocopiato alcuni suoi documenti e ho ascoltato il suo dolore.

Nabi
prende ancora oggi sei tipi di medicinali diversi per non sentire il
dolore. Nabi mi ha detto di aver bussato a tutte le porte per
ottenere aiuto ma nulla gli è valso ad ottenere giustizia. Invece di
aiutarlo, il suo avvocato, senza vergogna, gli ha detto che
probabilmente la sua spina dorsale era rotta ancora prima di arrivare
in Norvegia. La Norvegia viene presentata all’opinione pubblica
come la patria dei diritti umani.

Norway
is preparing to deport asylum seeker with disabilities to Afghanistan

Today,
October 25, 2014, the Norvegian government is preparing to deport
Gholam Nabi, a hazara asylum seeker coming from Baghlan province in
northern Afghanistan. In this province, according to Human Rights
Watch, in May 2000 dozens of people were massacred by taliban just
because they belonged to ethnic hazaras. Four of those killed were
relatives of Gholam Nabi. Nabi at this time is located at the airport
in Gardermoen, Oslo. This deportation is scheduled for six o’clock
this evening.

Nabi
has arrived in Norway in February 2008 at the age of 17 years. His
only desire was to have a normal life, away from violence and death.
Just get the requesting international protection. A few months later,
while he was leaving a cafe in the center of Oslo with some friends,
was hit by a car in the crosswalk. The news was published in many
newspapers in Oslo and some customers of the cafe have even
photographed the incident.

For
two days Nabi was in coma and when he woke up in the hospital the
doctor told him that some vertebrae of the spine were broken and that
if he had not had an operation would be paralyzed forever.

While
in hospital, Nabi received the denial of intrnational protection from
UDI (the norwegian Directorate of Immigration). According to the UDI
fact Nabi in Afghanistan would face any danger. Later, the hospital
announced in Nabi that they could not support the hospital charges
for an immigrant who had been denied intrnational protection. Nabi
was then called the police to report the person who had invested.

At
the center, however, he was told that because his request for
protection was rejected, would not have been able to take up the
complaint. The only possibility, they said the police, had to go back
to Afghanistan, find a lawyer and file a complaint here.

I
met Gholam Nabi in April during my trip in Norway. When I heard his
story I was very impressed and disappointed. I copied some of his
papers and listened to his pain.

Nabi
still takes six types of different drugs to not feel the pain. Nabi
told me that he had knocked on every door to get help, but nothing
brought him to justice. Rather than help him, his lawyer, without
shame, told him that perhaps his spine was broken even before he
arrived in Norway.

is presented to public opinion as the home of human rights.
